1. Why are prayer times slightly different from my local mosque?

Prayer calculation times depend on the Calculation Method (e.g., ISNA, MWL, Diyanet) and Asr Jurisprudence (Standard vs Hanafi) selected in the settings. You can switch methods in Settings or use the Manual Minute Offsets feature to align times exact to your mosque.

2. Why am I not receiving notifications on Android/iOS?

Please verify the following settings on your phone:

• Notifications Enabled: Ensure notification permissions are granted for Light in device settings.
• Battery Optimization / Low Power Mode: Ensure Light is excluded from aggressive battery saver optimizations so background reminders fire reliably.
• Do Not Disturb: Confirm that Do Not Disturb or Focus mode permits alarm/notification alerts from Light.

3. Does Light store or collect my location data?

No. All prayer time calculations occur locally on your device. Your location coordinates are used exclusively for computing sun angles and are never transmitted to external servers or third parties.

4. How do I change the notification sound to full Adhan?

Go to Settings > Notifications inside the app, select the specific prayer (e.g., Fajr), and choose Full Adhan as the alert sound.
